Academy Training

We run reserve/intermittent, special, hospital and other police academies for you soup-to-nuts. Includes class-room, DT, use of force, firearms training and more.

Officer Protection & Survival (OPS)

Very popular combo course covering extreme close quarters, ground, edged and blunt weapon defense, shoot/don’t shoot and other decisional scenarios, weapon retention, street-readying of prior DT training, mental errors and corrections, adaptive scripts and triggers, and use of force articulation.

Foiling the Grappler/Mixed Martial Artist

Due to the increasing popularity of UFC/MMA/BBJ, threats are more likely to engage pros using tactics and techniques adapted from these systems. In one short day, we equip you to foil the MMA/grappler’s game, and be able to justify your actions in your report.

The Problem of Assault

The most serious problem facing pros in the DT realm is not passive resistance or an ego fight. It’s predatory assault. Conventional DT training is particularly ill-equipped to address this problem. Includes real-life incident deconstruction on video and intensive hands-on work involving scenarios, neuro-muscular conditioning, breaking the freeze, unorthodox ways to maintain command presence, counter-assault scripting and tools.

Advanced Close Combat

Neither the DT training of a street cop nor the firearms training of a SWAT officer prepare them for the realities of unarmed combat which they may face at any moment. Unlike most Applegate/Fairbairn offshoots, this program will change the way you think about close combat. A new generation of threats have emerged that require adaptive responses. Includes restricted material. Full-time sworn law enforcement and military with justifiable operational mandates only.

Adrenal Conditioning

While adrenal response conditioning is part of almost all our DT courses, this class goes deeper and aims at intensive stress inoculation. Using escalating scenarios, we help demystify adrenal decay and teach you to how to access your training and function despite the uncontrollable.

Use of Force Articulation

The primary reason for pros’ poor decisions or inability to act under fire is not adrenal stress or failure to recall training. It is hesitation regarding appropriate action, force, and the aftermath when faced with confusing real-life situations that occupy gray areas. Lack of sufficient scenario-based training at original points of indoctrination such as academies makes this problem rampant. The ability to competently justify our actions is a key component of all our DT courses. This class helps develop proficiency in connecting your departmental use of force model to a variety of real-life actions, thereby freeing you to act and act appropriately when and where called for.
